Ajoyib

Ajoyib means ‘wondrous’ or ‘splendid’ in Uzbek. It is one of my favorite words to use when I think something is just wonderful—like this sheepskin! I think it has the longest fibers of any sheepskin I’ve ever tanned. The spotty pattern is very endearing, as is the fluffy-ness. I am exceptionally proud of the softness and drape of this leather and think the color of it is very pretty. I really have never seen another hide like this—whoever ends up with this beauty is very lucky. Please note the repaired tear in the photos. Also, please be aware that there is some hair sheep fiber in here, so it might shed a bit, but not excessively at all. 45×29.5”

When measuring, I measured down the middle for both length and width. Some parts of the hide will be longer and some will be shorter. I measured the leather side. Fiber often extends beyond the leather—in this case it does so significantly.
I live with dogs, so please consider that if you are extremely allergic. These hides will become softer with time and use. I wash and comb these sheepskins multiple times, but you will still find pieces of organic matter in them once in a while—it’s impossible to get it all out! They will also smell like lanolin to some degree or another, which not everyone is used to. You can wash them sparingly (if you’d like more info on this, check out my faq). If you ever decide you don’t want this hide, please compost it or leave it to decay into the woods—don’t throw it in a landfill!
If you would like to arrange a payment plan, I’d be happy to do so with you—please email me at azizathemouse@proton.me! I am not accepting returns at this time, so please ask any and all questions before you buy.
