Caramel Cream
This cutie is a hair sheep. I generally choose not to tan hair sheep because a subtext of 'hair sheep' is that they shed (wool sheep do not). I couldn't resist this one though--I love a subtle spot on an otherwise plain sheepskin. I am really pleased with the leather on this one. A beautiful option if you want a naturally tanned sheepskin for a lower price and/or have a wool allergy! Bark-tanned with love and devotion by me. 42.25×26.25”
When measuring, I measured down the middle for both length and width. Some parts of the hide will be longer and some will be shorter. I measured the leather side. Fiber often extends beyond the leather.
I live with dogs, so please consider that if you are extremely allergic. These hides will become softer with time and use. I wash and comb these sheepskins multiple times, but you will still find pieces of organic matter in them once in a while—it’s impossible to get it all out! They will also smell like lanolin to some degree or another, which not everyone is used to. You can wash them sparingly (if you’d like more info on this, check out my faq). If you ever decide you don’t want this hide, please compost it or leave it to decay into the woods—don’t throw it in a landfill!
If you would like to arrange a payment plan, I’d be happy to do so with you—please email me at azizathemouse@proton.me
